Okay, Mom, you won’t like the name but the boys will, even some girls might go for this particular kit. Just the words weird and gross will bring the boys in to see what you have. I have to admit, this one is for those young people who like the out-of-the-ordinary or have an extremely inquiring mind. It is an educational item that will teach your child some of the gross and yucky parts of science. Most boys will jump at the chance to do that! This is good for one kid or make it into a game. The book has 144 full color pages of interesting, if somewhat icky, items in it to teach your child. I suspect that if you are playing with your kid, you won’t need your diet pills. This sounds truly gross which is why they called it Weird and Gross. It has the capability to hold a 10 minute challenge quiz. Learn about your answers at the end of the test.

Recommended for ages 8 and up. Uses 3 button cell batteries which are included.

Science Kits: H-Racer H2

Your child can be miles ahead on technology with this racer kit. This particular car is the miniature of the real cars being developed for the future. H-Racer, a fuel cell car, has a fuel cell system connected to the electric motor, onboard hydrogen fuel tank and hydrogen refueling system linking the car’s onboard fuel tank to an external hydrogen refueling station. Since the car is as small as your palm, the car is totally safe. It only uses a small amount of hydrogen at a time to fuel the car. The best thing about this car is that it runs on clean, renewable fuel. The fuel is produced by a miniature sun-powered hydrogen refueling station that changes water to hydrogen.

I could not get the recommended ages for this particular toy. But for more information on this remarkable science kit, it can be found on the Discover This website. It has a large number of other science toys that look fascinating to me. Kids would love these toys.
